I have a problem the last year or so with my wipers. They sweep outwards too far. The one on the driver's side is the worst. It used to stop about 4" before it got to the edge of the window where the rubber seal is. It sweeps out and hits that and I can't really use high speed wipe anymore. Any of you ever have this problem and what was the remedy? Is all of that linkage just worn out and need to be replaced or what? I had a snap ring pop off the linkage one time last year and when I fixed that I really couldn't see anything as to why they sweep out farther than they used to.

Got a bunch of pieces for them. Had to buy three complete setups from KW, wouldn't just sell the parts I needed.

All i needed were the brackets and stud the wiper arm(s) bolt to. Bushings were wore out. KW only sold a complete left/right side. Don't remember the exact amount but it should have included installation.

I had the same problem about 4 years ago, the first time it went out and got stuck on the rubber stopping the wiper motor, the second time the arm bent when it went out past the rubber and then tried to pull back. While replacing the arms ($110.00 ea. + $56.00 for a puller) I noticed while I was moving the arms up and down the linkage was totally shot. The bushings that wichris is talking about were gone too. I got the brackets and studs from KW in Cincinnati, (about $185.00 ea. if memory serves)but it took 4 or 5 days to get here from warehouse because I would not pay another $100.00 for overnight shipping. I had the 1 piece windshield with center park wipers exactly like you have in your picture. I replaced the studs and arms and that took enough slop out of it to be able to live with it.

(Money saving tip) Next time you need wiper arms order them without the wiper blades...you would't believe how much you pay for wiper blades when they come already on the wiper arms!

    Oldironfan and bubbanbrenda Thank this.

So about $500 for both sides new brackets and studs. Ouch! Well maybe I can get by just replacing the driver's side I'll look at it when I get home.

My 05 did that, it wound up getting stuck on the mirror bracket, I bent the wiper arm so it would sweep normally to get by and forgot about it. It's still working normal to this day, a year and a half later.

Hey RC, if you replace your wiper assembly, would it be possible to get some part numbers from you when you do. I just replaced my 2 piece windshields with a New one 1 piece on my 2006 t600. I want the wipers you have and I'm getting rid of the original wiper arms that park vertically. You truck is Sharpe by the way.
