i think you outta spread your boundaries a little farther then Alabama. They're hard enough to find in all 48 let alone just 1.

One of the most helpful post here. Thanks. I wish someone would list the starter companies like this and include the length and style of training as well. But thanks, good info and all in one place.

    Cheers

BTW, I hear a lot of folks say that TMC is structured like the military. That is not true. After spending 12 years in the Marine Corps, I guarantee you that there is no military structure at all at TMC. I started with them out of the gate, but due to a caveman of a trainer, I split early and went with a company that threw me the keys and said: "get flatbeddin!"

Anyway, yes they are anal about their trucks, they do not allow extra electronics in the truck (too many trucks burned down by driver stupidity), not sure how their freight is doing lately though. Either way, they will not hire females, so the point is moot.

Never really saw any of those things in Alabama that come in the sweet or little varieties! :biggrin_2559:

Umm...isn't that, y'know, illegal? Or are trucking companies exempted from employment-discrimination laws like they're exempted from the overtime rule for hourly employees?

as long as you don't say they weren't hired for a gender/racial bias then anything flies...there are 1,000,000 different reasons you can identify as soneome not qualifying for employment...
