Student Driver Wants to Work at KLLM!

If you own the truck aren't you still leasing to the company, How do they provide insurance, also if it happened on the job worker'scomp would cover it and they will pay any bills associated with the injury regardless of employment if it's an acceptable claim. also if you were hurt on the job they can't fire you because of that nor while your on med leave. I'm no lawyer but i have slept in lots of hotel parking lots when i can't find a truckstop....LOL Hope you get back on your feet soon Good Luck and Merry Christmas !!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Thanks for the info. The truck and lease contract are in my wife's name, the contract was not terminated, just me for not being able to work, according to Oscar its standard company policy to terminate after being off work for 30 days. i know that is b.s. my wife is still working for them, although they sure seem to be trying to run her off, not getting any miles for last 3 weeks. Already contacted lawer there in Jackson, waiting to hear back from him, I know KLLM has had a few lawsuits filed against them, just did'nt know what lawyer had handled them, if i don't get wanted results from this guy i called ,, will call the one you mentioned. thanks again for info.

yes still leased to KLLM, TRuck and lease is in my wife's name, she is still pullin for them, we pay all ins. premiums ourselves. And yes the workmens comp has been paying all bills for the injury, im just worried when workmens comp figure out they are no longer getting premiums from me they will drop me like a hot tater. I have been told ( The work comp claim/benefits are not based on continued employment, the claim follows you based on medical status), I sure hope thats right. thanks for info.. I was wondering about the physical with KLLM, do they do the step test or any of the other strength or agility test?

They do a basic drug and health physical. I didn't have to step up or lift and move anything.
