Can anyone tell me about the insurance through the lease purchase? Like cost and provider and coverage? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Oh, oh, also how long until you can qualify for it.

No, that's the right thing to do. At my company they demand that we run trainer trucks like team trucks. How is a student to learn any better than being solo if the trainer is asleep most of the time? The right thing to do is sit or lay back there after the trainer knows you are competent enough to not need him to pop your buttons.

The issue here lies with him refusing to get a load delivered on time but perhaps he had his reasons. By the way, in saying this I am in no way calling you a liar or saying you are wrong. I'm just trying to offer some devil's advocate from the other side of the trainer/trainee game.

I know this is an old thread but I have been a company driver here a year and 11 days lol . I came here with experience but needed a refresher. At first I was disappointed in how the company drivers were treated here and the 60mph trucks. Since I have been here never had a lease truck pushed on me except when I checked into the Tyson dedicated ( no company drivers) had my up and downs my first 6 months here. my first 2 months was averaging 2900 mile a week then it was like the bottom dropped out then I went lms dedicated and have been rolling pretty study also get $.04 more/mile. they put my old truck into the lease pool this month and gave me an old lease truck that needs some tlc but goes 70 mph. I think things are changing they got rid of there lease refereral because of fraud and ppl got fired. and freight must be picking up leaving out tomorrow from nj to ca then ca to pa...js

Keep in mind this has been at least 16 years ago......

Before I went to swift years ago I went with a KLLM trainer and he was the creepiest guy I have ever met...... That man didnt shower, eat, go to the mens room or sleep until he was on the verge of collapse! He ran very hard, drank energy drinks like they where going out of style, ate Slim Jims constantly, and double logged. ( Back when paper was all there was and qualcom units took up half the cab and had just enough cord to hit the window and fall in your lap when you got mad!:D:D:D:p)

One night I had a migraine and said I need a break and laid down he sat there and stared at me for almost 5 minutes until I said "WHAT?" His response was get in the seat this truck has to move! My response was I have a very bad migraine, I need to eat, shower, crap and WALK around for a minute. I was told to shut up and he started driving WAY illegal.

Finally after almost a week I asked if we could shower and he got really pissed that I would ask so I called the DM and talked to him. He messaged my trainer STOP FOR A SHOWER MAN!! We did just that. I went into get a shower and when I came out he was gone with all my stuff too. I called dispatch again and said that ####### hat just left me in the middle of nowhere and took all my stuff with him! Keeping in mind all I had was my dirty cloths, a shower bag, flip flops and a clean set of cloths on me end everything else was in his truck.

I decided right there to find somewhere else to work. KLLM was all apologies and did buy a ticket to the terminal where I was informed that I had been kicked off the truck for arguing with the trainer to much. When they asked my side I said dont worry I am quiting anyways if you hire a trainer like that I am gone. If your the trainer and reading this I hope you stopped for a shower since we parted ways many years ago!
