Try Total Transportation. They are literally right next door to KLLM in jackson. And yes, if the company takes students , then they will take her. She is not in any legal binding agreement with them. Line the job up now, there shouldnt be any wait at all.

Contact safety, after all this is a saftey type of situation. You've already tried his boss now go higher! This could very easily turn into a road rage type of incedent or just a bad accident from the verbal abuse. Both of you (mostly her) need to call and get her into a REAL trainers truck and should have done so a long time ago, so do it NOW!

To be honest, that's what I want her to do. Because you are right, she is holding all the cards right now. But she's so beat down she's really not thinking very well right now. The attmosphere that she's exposed to for the last 6 weeks is horrible and anybody who heard the texts would realize that the company put her in a horrible situation and did nothing to fix.

As far as "she" and "julie" I thought about that too. This trainer supposedly likes to train only female drivers. Well, she may be female but probably not his type. I think when he realized that she was not "she like" the issue started. So I do have that in the back of my mind.

I don't want to cause to much of a stink but if they screw up her chances for having a driving career, I'll let loose.

As soon as she pulls over, she's gonna call me. I'll give her what you suggested and tell her I completly agree. Hopefully she'll be able to call in and calmly tell them to get her the heck out of this situation. She did try to tell him that she didn't feel comfortable and again, she's a loser and just wanting to go home. So I can't call her she won't answer the phone while she's driving.

Thanks for the advice. And I am holding my cards close to see how this plays out after she does as you suggest.

Safety. Is that going to be at the Jackson terminal? Trust me, she wanted another trainer. She should have put her foot down back then and didn't. Now 8 almost 9 weeks out she's frustrated as........it ryhmes with duck!

    New wrinkle....

Her TM just responded to a call I had placed earlier. I was told that her trainer had told him she was good, was ready for upgrade and that they are just waiting for a load to get her back to Jackson. I asked that if that was the case, could she get off the truck somewhere in route and I would go pick her up. They upgrade Monday thru Friday so if I could get her there this week, she can upgrade. If not, come back next week and upgrade Tuesday thru Friday.

He told me that he has known her trainer for 14 years and that if his children were learning, he would be the trainer he'd want to train them. I explained to him that I understood that was how he felt because it was what he told my other half when she called in after the first 3 weeks. However, in this situation, it was different. That we have recordings of him berating her etc and that maybe there was some issue that he was not aware of. He basically acted like AJ (my other half) was just a big ole whiner. GRRRRRR. She is not!!!

He then told me that she could get off the truck for me to pick her up as long as it didn't impeade the load. That's reasonable. I have no problem with that. He then tells me that she would need to bring in her training folder to get her going in the upgrade..........The training folder that has not been touched by the trainer.

So, I can go get her and get her to Jackson for an upgrade. She has a not filled out training folder to take with her, which means talking to her trainer and asking him to fill it out........really???? Jeez!!!

He said that he would check with, I forgot the term but whoever handles loads to get them back to Jackson, and see about getting them back in. I thanked him for that and asked if he could be discreet about it because the last time AJ called for help it got back to her trainer and the situation got worse. He just snorted and told me to ask AJ to call him. He is absolutely POSITVE that her trainer knows what he's doing and of course the training folder is filled out perfectly. GRRRRRR.

So, good news is, I go get her butt somewhere, bad news, she's gonna have to do battle with the trainer!!

At least we know now that she has been recommended for upgrade and if she can get there with training folder they will go ahead and do it. I think her home time will be spent making a lot of phone calls to other companies. This is just a tad crazy for her and I.

Again, thank you for the support. Being stuck here and not knowing what to do or how to help is making me a bit crazy!!

Is she going to be able to handle being a driver?

She really needs to learn how to handle these type of matters.

    LOL!!!

She knows how to handle matters. She has felt stuck in a truck with an abusive idiot for 8 weeks, gotten no support from the home office or people who were given to her as her "contacts" In an industry she has little knowledge of but wants to begin a career in. She's worried about our finaces and really wants to start driving a truck.

This "matter" is a little unusual. I am cutting her some slack as I think anyone who has gone through what she has for 8 weeks would be at the end of their tether. Her end goal is to get driving. Not deal with an abusive jackwad.

So, yeah, she is going to be able to handle being a driver, not a verbal punching bag.
