She didn't record a phone call. She used her phone camera and caught bits and parts of his screaming. Then she texted those small recording to me. Just as some kind of proof so if her TA said again that this trainer was not the kind to have issues. She didn't record anything to get him in trouble, she did it cause we were worried that somehow, her calling her TA three weeks in would come back to haunt her. We needed something concrete to show she wasn't just trying to "stir the pot" or cause problems.

Hopefully this issue will be resolved after discussing the situation with KLLM management and we can get rid of the recordings before anyone even hears them. That would be nice but that would require KLLM to believe the problem and do something to help her continue on in her goal of driving a truck. She just wants a fair shot.

As far as the Qualcomm, I didn't even know what that was until about 2 and a half months ago so I have NO idea what is and what is not "evidence." So I'm not counting on that. I think everything else she's collected would stand up in a civil court. The degree of proof is different than that of criminal and the documentation, phone logs, dated pictures and some other things would definatly meet the burden in tort law. But I am SOOOOO praying that is not going to be needed. As long as she get a fair shot and no bad marks on her record, she doesn't care. She just wants to move forward and drive a darn truck. It shouldn't be this hard.

Well, if we had thought about that earlier we would have done that. LOL. So far this morning there has been a LOT less yelling going on. Hopefully someone at the terminal let the trainer know and told him to please stop hollering.

She hasn't called any other friends while she's been in training. Her down time is spent talking to me, her mom and dad and other family members. So she does have quite a few members of the family who have heard the yelling in the back ground. over and over. lol Cause the screaming wasn't just AT her it was constant. I never knew a human could be on the phone as often as this person was. Crazy. So even when she was trying to sleep, the screaming was going on. The funny thing is, she is deaf. Like deaf deaf. Like I can vacuum the entire house at three in the morning twice and never wake her up deaf. His screaming......it somehow woke her up out of sleep. Can you imagine. LOL!!! Now that I know that she is out of there and that she's going to be safe I'm starting to be amused by this. It's like some bad joke. I mean, you could NOT make this up if you tried. As long as she gets a fair shot from here on out, I will continue to find this amusing. Thank goodness she's going to be safe shortly. WHAT a relief.

As of this morning, her trainer has told her he's taking her to birmingham Alabama. When he drops her off, she's going to take a quick picture of the truck number. That picture will be date and time stamped in her phone. Then she's going to go purchase something, anything to get a recipet telling the time and place of purchase. Hopefully that will be enough to show that she didn't impede anything.

    Thanks,
    Julie

    Now h
Sounds like good idea. She needs to be like duck and just let his yelling be like water, esp if she can't hear well. Let us know how it turns out.

    Finally!!! Some good news.

I'm leaving out now to go get her at the Flying J in Birmingham Alabama off of 65. It's about 4 hours away so she has a bit of a wait but he wouldn't tell her anything until they were almost there. Oh well, at least she's getting off his truck!!!

Thanks again for letting me ask for help and advice. Like I said, this has become like a bad movie for me. Or maybe Candid Camera. The only thing that would make this crazier than it is right now is that if something happens with her direct deposit tomorrow because of this. That would just be the cherry on the top of this nutty fruit cake. Crossing my fingers nothing that silly is going to happen!!

    Thanks again,
    Julie

Amazing that they still pair male drivers with female trainees. That has to be very uncomfortable for the female trainee. Anyhow, glad she's getting off that truck and I hope she doesn't give up on her driving goal if this is what she wants to do. It shouldn't be that hard to get this accomplished. Shame on that trainer for not having more patience. He might want to spend a little more time on his own like the rest of us. Nobody to blame but yourself.

Sorry, didn't mean to leave it hanging!!

She's home. She's safe. She has slept and slept and slept. For me that was the only thing I was worried about, her safety.

Beyond that? The outcome has yet to be determined.

You guys seriously rock!! I had NO idea what to do and you all talked me through it.

    Thank you again!!

Well good...then maybe they will read this:

I just witnessed two days ago a KLLM trainer being COMPLETELY verbally abusive and engaging in aggressive posturing with a trainee at a Pilot truck stop (trying to recall which one...it will eventually come to me...).
I'm sorry if you are laboring under the delusion that your trainers are sainted altar boys...but I can assure you that you have several TO MY PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE that are NOT. You have at least one trainer, or had at the time I left, that was taking rank newbies, throwing them behind the wheel and simply using them as warm bodies for miles.

Need I remind you about John Taeza?? The US MARINE that I recruited for you??? The one that you stuck with the trainer that was so verbally abusive and so uninterested in actually TRAINING anyone that John ended up buying his own plane ticket home after this TRAINER took him down the summit into SLC at 65+mph (the marked speed limit for trucks down that hill is 45mph). That was the icing on the cake for John after several weeks of verbal abuse and complete lack of training and guidance from this TRAINER. Just to jog your memory...John drove trucks in Iraq for the US Marine Corps. Way to screw up a prime candidate with a crappy trainer.

OR.....let's discuss the trainer who left the rookie to pull the truck from the fuel aisle and park it while the trainer went inside. Shall I remind you of the outcome of THAT sterling example of the training program? As I recall, the trainee ended up taking out the entire front of a million miler truck with his trailer.

So, whoever is reading this from KLLM....I hope you print this out and nail it to Ricky P's and Jim R's doors. I invite and even dare you to. Me? I left after I was called a liar because I was sent to the same place twice to find a trailer...there were no trailers. I was told that the system showed three trailers there....and anyone who has been at KLLM for a while and who does their macros correctly can tell you that about 80% of the time when you put in the macro to tell the system what trailer you picked up at a customer...you get an error message back that says you can't have picked that trailer up at that customer because the system shows it as being somewhere else. So, quite frankly, I don't give a flaming red rip what your system said...it has not one #### clue where your trailers are.

But you know what? Go ahead...keep your eyes closed to your problems and flaws because I am seeing more and more of those "Pearl Fawn" colored trucks showing up over here. I've made myself a VERY NICE chunk of change recruiting many of them away from you and introducing them to a company that actually cares about the health, safety and welfare of their drivers.....that has top notch benefits......and where the biggest worry you have is when you're going to get to stop long enough to do your laundry...NOT how long you're going to be sitting until your next load.

Julie...my company does hire new drivers. My current team driver is brand spanking new....trained elsewhere.....had a falling out with them and came over here. She had to go through orientation (paid) and some additional, but brief, driving skills training (also paid...you are paid for all training) and she will be getting the tuition reimbursement. So if she gets sick and frickin' tired of being treated like a second rate citizen, you tell her to give me a call (I am sending you my number via private message). If she has any more issues, has any questions or otherwise needs anything...she, or you, are both welcome to call me. My apologies that I did not see your message earlier....been running like a scalded dog and have not had time to touch my computer this past week.
