Is there any real difference between FFE and KLLM ? I'm going to FT. Worth soon for the refresher then pick either FFE or KLLM. I will be running team with a friend of mine after going with a trainer. Any suggestions or advice ?

OK thanks Pmracing ! Yes they are wanting my co-driver and I to run LTL loads. I would rather run OTR if I am going to run team.

So Ballerboy, how was the training at KLLm ?

I run for KLLM training was great, if you can ask for Waylon Cosper, he's a great dude and teaches you a lot. $515 a week for training for 6 weeks and then you take a little stupid road test through Jackson, Mississippi. I average about 2500 miles a week in the Midwest region. I have to say it's more like 30% drop and hook lol. But they treat me well and I get roughly $800 a week as a company driver. Mostly all the trucks are 2012-2014 Freightliner Cascadias and they are 10 speeds.

Pmracing, what makes the difference as to whether or not you make money with lease purchase?

Work ethic, lack of a life other than driving and how well you are favored by dispatch.

anon6655, do they have apu on the trucks ? I will try to request Waylon Cosper if possible. I am actually kind of nervous about the whole trainer situation. I drew some real duds years ago when I started driving. Also, do they pay for orientation after you complete that and before you actually go on the truck with a trainer ?

The Freightliners don't have apus, they have optimized idle which isn't too great but it works. Waylon is a great guy. The Friday you get your badge and whatnot, they give you a comdata card and it's loaded with $515 on it
