    mhw.... I've got pre hired from KLLM & Gordon pending I get my CDL. I talked to one of their drivers ( KLLM trainer & a trainee ) they both were happy with the company. Plenty of miles and good equipment. Have also talked with quite a few May and Gordon drivers. Haven't herd anything bad about any of them. All three companies sound real good. Good luck

    Mhw;

    Might want to get insight on what to expect from KLLM and read my journal. It's under the heading "KLLM; Back where I started" in the DAC Section for this Main Topic. There are 3 other topics also along with mine in the DAC section.

    I've been with KLLM for almost 6 months and absolutely love it, very little OTR exp and only 4 months of local driving got me hire and I couldn't be any happier, avg over 3200 miles per week; I'm often pre-assigned a new load prior to delivering the load I'm on. I don't ask for home time often but since I live near one of the yards, I'm home every 10-17 days and wisely use my time to get a re-start and back out again, 1st year driver in pase to earn 55-60 Grr.....

    I drove for KLLM for about four months. I made great money with them and ran all kinds of miles. In fact I only left them because I got burned out after 9 weeks on the road (my choice, not theirs). I didn't live in an area to run regional so I switched to my current company that gets me home every weekend. Honestly the only problem I had was not getting home by the date I requested.

    Yep, Cap does sound like a recruiter. I can tell ya with KLLM for sure your 1st year earnings will be around $35,000 for a little to no experience driver. My first full year them (2002) was $35,000.

    Now going into my 5th year with them; I'm on track for $43,000. Sounds small but I'm happy with them. Even with leaving them for 14 months, they welcomed me back with open arms.

    With any job, just have find what you like and makes you happy. Money isn't everything.

    Mhw; don't go to Atlanta for orientation. Ask to go to Jackson, MS. Atlanta yard; you want to avoid it like the plauge (sp??).
