I was in class today and finished the in class test.. (with flying colors). And I was made aware of the csa website where you can see different violations broken down for any company. Needless to say KLLM was pretty high. I am pretty interested in this company so I am not going to let it deter me right off seeing as it is a high lease driver company. I did notice many brake violations which is concerning needles to say, but I would like to know if anyone that is or was a company driver how KLLM ' S mechanic work at the terminal is. Can it be trusted. Of course I'll do my checks as best I can but I am not a mechanic so it does concern me that I will violate the rules on things I cannot control. I have heard a lot of good with this company and another reason is they do take on a lot of new guys. But i do not. and i stress do not want to get myself in trouble for something that should be fixed ahead of time. Especially since I will be a new guy and possibly if specialty things. Thanks in advance

DomBreth In my opion the shop does good work, but depending what terminal you go to they seem to milk it a little. When you get assigned ypur truck look it over real good and if you find something wrong get it fixed before you leave.

Yes I do intend to to that for sure. I was was recommended to check these things and I noticed that they were fairly high... again I hope it's the silly dudes who lease too early without knowing the importance to keep their trunk in code according to the csa. I just don't want the get under the black ball with ignorance of what's going on ya know. I will attempt n to check as much as I can but as a new guy I surely don't know a rig head to toe. But thanks. I will keep in touch if I do indeed enter the orientation prior to my class. I'm weekends so.. 6 more weeks at best

A lot of its probably driver laziness, not all there's good driver's out there, but its the same issue youll come across with some trailers with lights out bad tires that's on a driver, never had an issue with kllm get repairs done at a shop. Not a cheerleader for them .I've had my differences, but I believe you could do a lot worse.

Ok. Yea a light could go out in an inopportune time so I'm not worried about that. But i just wanted to make sure they aredoing regular mmaintenence at the terminals. Lots of stuf is on the drivers yes but when you get popped on specialty stuff that a normal guy like me might not know and the mechanics at the terminals should. The driver still gets dinged. Therefore I was just checking to see if they regularly and thoroughly take care of the company trucks. Thanks for your answer.

How is the ltl fleet? I see adds for ltl out of Fontana, CA or somewhere out that way. Says mostly drop and hook and the add is for FFE not KLLM.

What was orientation like?? Did you have your own physical or did they give you one? Is lease option good...average pay and miles?? What are their qualifications. My spouse and I are looking at going team. Can we have our dog?? Just questions I need answered. I don't want to talk to a recruiter unless I know the in's and Out's have been burned too many times by big companies. I have experience and clean record. I just want to know what to expect is the road test a drive down the road deal or a huge mega course like some companies who like to do the rodeo type of road course. Just wondering and Thanks for any info you can offer. ( In short is it a bunch of B.S or is it a cut and dry process...I live in GA and we are interested in OTR

Can anyone shed some light on a potential L/P situation for someone who lives in Charlotte? Lanes, profitable accounts, and is it better to do mileage pay or the percentage? I already did an app, just waiting to hear back. How long is the L/P hiring process normally? Thanks!
