I was set and ready for the Orientation comming up next week. I was playing music to earn some extra money for the road this past weekend. While setting up my gear, i tripped over some wires and fractured my foot. Well needless to say, I can't climb in and out of a truck, much less use a clutch with a fractured left foot. So my Doctor says it's going to be "several weeks" before I can go to work. I notified KLLM, and I can still sign up after my Doctor releases me, but I may have to do a refresher at trucking school first. Boy I'm really down about it right now, and really want to go to work. So, it looks like I'm floored up for a while. :smt022

So sorry to hear that. You really want to make sure that your foot is healed. Foot injuries are some of the most common trucker injuries. Right before my husband was going to go to school, he tore his Achilles tendon. It took 6 months before the doctor would clear him to drive a truck because of how difficult trucking can be on feet.

It is easy pretend you have a haz mat load stop at RR crossing look both ways and continue.1 semi hard turn an thats it. Just dont hit anything an you will pass.

I'm from Detroit and they asked me if I wanted to take orientation in Atlanta or Jackson. Currently, I'm scheduled for Jan. 19th in Jackson because a few have posted on this board that they thought it was the better place to go for orientation.
