Hey Haulin good luck with KLLM. I don't have any personal experience with them they seem to be a pretty good company from what i've read and heard anyway.

What are the requirements for KLLM as in job history? I am going to going to school in December and am considering KLLM along with Stevens. Is Stevens Reefer only?

Haulin', enjoy the Orientation. The Mexican resturant near the hotel (on the other side of the Taco Hell is pretty good. The shopping center on the other side of the church and clinic has some good food joints and a Wally World. Donnie is a nice guy, if he's the one running Orientation, and the day lunches are well...... OK. At least the rooms are clean and comfortable and have a fridge and a mickey-wave if you want to do some food on your own. The hotel breakfast is....... well, FREE! I had a good time at my orientation and my road trainer was a great guy. We've become friends and talk to each other at least 3 or 4 times a week, as well as two of his past students. We all see each other on the road and stop for a meal or a chat. You'll have fun and learn alot. Hope you get a good trainer like I did.

Got through with day one. Yes, the breakfast is free and that's the only good thing about it. Bowl of cereal, honey bun and warm orange juice...yum! The hotel is clean though, no complaints. Filled out some paperwork till 9 right across the parking lot then next door to take drug test and physical. After that we bused over to take an agility test. Nothing to worry about, just some easy lifting and climbing. Then we came back for a little more paperwork. Lunch was pretty good, hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, veg and cornbread.

Of course, you have to have one to get hired.
As far as job experience, I was a contractor before and my roommate worked shutdowns. Doesn't really matter what you did before as long as you go through a school.

Yeah the agility test. Can you climb the steps, turn the crank and lift the box to the shelf?:biggrin_25522: The lunch actually gets better. I think by Wednesday you get the Pork Chop with rice and gravy. Yummy!:yes2557: Try the Mexican Joint though. The Fajitas or the Beef Enchaladas.

Well today was a long day. Second day of orientation was lots of paperwork and meeting all the department heads. Wouldn't have been that bad but we didn't get out of there till 6 o'clock. Could've been done at 4 but there are about 23 people in orientation and about 10 of them have to ask every dept 20 questions. Now I understand that they are there to answer our questions but a stupid frickin question is a stupid frickin question. Anyway, I won't beat that horse to death. It's over now. I'm tired and need to get to sleep. One more day and I get in a truck with my trainer.
