Starting to think the pushing of the lease program is the last attempt to save the company. We can"t afford to live on unemployment so its time to start filling out the applications before its too late.

Gee in 2000 KLLM was almost bought by Rob Low of PRIME INC at $7.75 a share , KLLM has been on / off the sale block a bit over the years.

No one is happy with any company I (a new driver) am looking at. They are all doomed! Werner is evil, federally funded CDL mill, TMC is going downhill, Knight wants to be Swift, which sucks; KLLM is in the toilet, too... etc. etc. Roehl seems okay, but they turned me down, of course. It's already going to s-t for me, see?? Everyone lies, cheats and steals wherever you go. Dispatchers have a diabolical plot at all of them to torture drivers - who - must lie on their logs due to this plot, or they are unfairly constrained by e-logs. Company trucks everywhere are too slow, even if its' been that way for years. I guess I shouldn't do this, eh? Why are YOU guys doing this?

    Jason,

Folks are grabbing at straws, honestly trying to find a decent job and make a few bucks......

It's not there for most of you. About 85% of the noobies are gone in the first year !!

I guess a lot of it is just due to the overall business climate. I'm really trying to find a decent company job to start with. I can put up with a lot of bs but still want the basics... the opportunity to work a lot, learn, basic fairness and a dollop of respect since I am a person, after all. I am getting really discouraged reading all of this here. One thing I do know... good thing I didn't go with Werner. TMC turned me down, which sucks. So did Roehl. Not sure why, of course. KLLM is interested, as is Knight. T/A looks good but I read more horror stories here. Maverick looks quite promising. Who knows... I feel so vulnerable and ignorant...

It's all part of the process, I won't give up... it's going to work out ok. I was being mildly sarcastic. All of this is new to me so my head is spinning a bit... it's great all the experienced folks write all of these posts so we noobs can get a bit of understanding, see common themes, attempt to make informed decisions. Barring something truly bizarre, I will be one of those who make it.
