There is one thing I have always done since getting into trucking in August of 07. I've always had my next orientation set up before I quit the place i was working. Atleast stay at your first pick 6 months. Try and stick that out. Even if you hate it.

Yes nothing worse than becoming a job jumper , 1 day it could cost you the dream job .

I lost five jobs during the bush years and everyone of them was because of fuel prices. When bush took office in 2001 you could still get fuel for .95 per gal. in OK.where I was working that O.O. fired after 4+years when it hit 1.50 the next seven years I seen it go past 5.00 per gal.I went from a steady hand to job hopper status without trying.

Getting fired / laid off over FUEL PRICE ! has nothing to do with new drivers that jump from job to job on their OWN accord for a bigger radio or 2 mph faster or shinier chrome.

My point was I'am now considered a "job hopper"now when I apply for new jobs.Had fuel prices remained stable I would still be at the job I had five jobs ago.

Never mind , tried to point out how it AFFECTED you and you had no CHOICE , while others bounce from job to job for stupid things and outcome is the same.

I had 1 guy that applied and told me he needed a week off to go get TAX papers from the 8 different employers he had in past year , another brought in the registration on his tractor , was 3 years old had been with 14 different companies.

If you're in the right area, CRST and Central Refrigerated are hiring rookies.
