Ok look if you guys look at any of the forums here about any of the companies on here, there is going to be hundreds of people or posts saying how bad the company is and how you shouldnt go there for a job. The only thing that you can do is determine what company is best for you. Now if your truly drivers at a good company why are you here all the time just complaining about the companies here? Go do the job your paid for and if your on a 10 then go rest and get the hell off of here. Stop complaining, if someone wants to drive for knight or swift or any of the others let them. If they come back here and complain oh well. I drover for Swift and had no problems with them, the only reason i left was due to a death in the family that i needed to deal with. And yet why is it that any where you look you see bad info about them? If you have a problem with a company then voice it once not over and over again. all you do is make yourself look bad. well i have to go do my JOB.
Keep the rubber down.

Some people will never get it. They will never understand how this country was once so proud of their drivers, people they knew nothing about, just that they did a very important job.
NOW we have Knight attempting to starve out what's left of any professionalism remaining all in the name of saving a buck. It's quite bigger than all of the lies Knight told me, all the pay Knight cheated from me, all the miles I drove for free. I'll be just fine always have been and always will be. Now as for my chosen profession, that's another story.
Oh and gpgtp2005, Swift sucks too. I'll bet you didn't know that 30 years ago a kid like yourself made close to 80 grand in todays dollars, all for choosing to sacrifice a normal life all in the name of sailing the concrete sea for months at a time.
Just stay away from Knight all your doing is shooting yourself in the foot. No matter how good you think you got it, it can always be better.

As an outsider that's spent 18 years in the flatbed industry with no concern about what you doorslammers do, I was merely giving a point of view. Is it really all that unbelievable that the top execs would liquidate in order to free up capital to purchase another company? Perhaps in exchange for the opportunity to be issued more stock and increase their investment when the company increased in size and revenue?
Oh, and by the way, injecting personal funds into a publicly traded company is called investing. Call a broker if you need further explanation.
Edit: Please take the time to actually read the post you were referring to. I never said insider trading. I asked where they got their insider information. He obliged with a link to the Reuters story. And please before you're keen on running someone else down for not knowing everything (oh bow to you and your plethora of knowledge) how about at least taking the time to finish your member info. "Trucker? No Answer" ... so what's your story? Just thought this would be a good place to come and flame? Have a nice day.Last edited by Doc Rock; 05.14.2010 at 03.30 PM. Ruh roh...hope they don't find me...but I've been pretty covert...used my real name as a screen name, and even posted a pic on my profile....handsome devil ain't I? Wonder how long before they find me?
Actually, I ain't even skeered, because someone gave me the 800 number for the US Marshalls, so they better not even think about messing with me...
Relax, I'm joking...the Marshalls office is closed on Sunday anyways...

Western Express completed a sale of 8-year notes worth $285,000,000. If Knight gave them any money, they'll get it back. As far as I can tell, there has been no sale of the company itself.

please explain why i have seen, with my own eyes, western express equipment in the phoenix and fontana yards. the equipment i've seen in phoenix was in the shop and being stripped down. their trailers were dropped with the dry van knight trailers rather than the designated area where cr england, lw miller, and other outside carriers have to park and/or drop their trailers. the trailers i've seen were relatively new, too.
