Nope.

The article mentions Knight's option to purchase the unnamed company's stock. Western Express is not a publicly traded company.

Western Express has shares. However they are not traded publicly, and this prevents Knight from buying them?

Here's some fuel for the rumor fire.
In Tulare, CA, there are knight trailer's sitting in the RUAN yard and I've seen knight trucks pulling a RUAN trailer.
Also saw a knight truck pulling an Interstate trailer a few days ago at the Love's in Ripon, CA.
....Back to you Maury

Knight delivers car batteries to Wal Mart's and Sears for Ruan. They've done this for a few years out of San Antonio Tx. No merge, just a dedicated account. The empties you see at Ruan are more than likely from the driver that got suckered into helping. He dropped his MT at Ruan in hopes that it would be there when he gets back so he doesn't have to spend two days driving around looking for another one.

Knight is buyin more Int'l Prostars than Volvos, and getting rid of the Petes. I was told by 2 Western Express flatbed drivers this past week that Knight is getting the van division of Western, and taking over their headquarters in Nashville. Western Express is supposed to B building a new terminal in Clarksville,Tn by some kind of rail yard. Now this was brought to my attention. I don't know how true this is, but I don't believe stuff until stuff happens or I see it for myself. Now for U guys dogging Knight out..... U must've put it on yourself because this is a good company. I've been here for 6 years, and it's what U make of it. If U r a lazy driver..... then U will sit alot. If U like to run..... then you will run. I'm 29 years old, and I am so amazed at the many babys on here crying about this, and that, and probably old enough to B my dad. Whatever happened.... suck it up, and b a man, and keep it moving.
