I didnt have to pull a vw as part of that test. Lol. I went thru orientation with knight almost 2 months ago. It was a complete waste of time. The first day we did the hair and urine test at the terminal, then went and got subway to take with us to concentra for a 4 hour wait to do our physical. They did the weight lifting stuff there. You have to take a metal crate filled with 50 lbs and do various things with it. Im only 5'0 and only had a lil issue with putting the box on a shelf.. over my head. Bit other then that, I dont see why any men would have any issues with it. My co driver and I (have almost 15 years of experience) didnt get our truck until the following Monday. And didnt really learn much in orientation about knight. In atlanta the orientation is a complete waste of time

Knight has switched to a "online orientation". I am not comfortable with that. Orientation should be a face to face setting so that you can understand what is being presented to you. My orientation with Wal~mart is two weeks. First week is in class, second with a mentor to make sure I understand everything and to be comfortable with everything.

I wish I could've gone thru an online orientation with knight. Two weeks is crazy. . Unless they are paying ya well for those two weeks.

On-line orientation? Really? How do they do drug testing "on-line"? where do you go for everything else? I live in FL so Lakeland would be the closest terminal to me. Anyone know anything about the new "part-time" positions, 7-on 7-off, 14-on 7-off? Or about container work?

    p34ch3s Thanks this.

As far as drug test and physical, they will send you to a clinic for that. The on line training is done at the terminal on their computers. Can't really help on the PT, 7 on 7 off, is as it says. 14 on 7 off, same. As far as assigned equipment, not sure unless your a reg OTR driver for them. Those two you asked about I believe are seasonal postions so you may not get an assigned truck. Lakeland doesn't have a port division but if you have a TWIC, they can send you to ports, and possible container runs.

Hope this helps. I could be wrong on some stuff but I didn't leave that long ago.

    Hi Guys
In answer too the 7on and 7off its slip seating so you'll clean out truck each time you come in and you may not get back in exactly on the 7th day sometimes I have been and most time its a day or two later
and you usually have too call ahead when your rdy too go out too see if a truck is available, hope that helps.

Its not really an online orientation. U go thru a powerpoint presentation and the person doing the orientation should answer any questions u may have.
