Been talking to a recruiter for Knight on/off since July. Currently with Central Refrigerated. What kind of miles can you expect per week. 2000? 2500? 2700? I would be based out of Denver CO if I made the switch. I've read through several of the threads and it seems to be a crapshoot here, you either like Knight or you had a really ###### experience with them. Nothing really in between.

How much money a week can you realistically expect to earn at Knight?

I currently work for knight. If I stay on my dispatchers ### I get about 3,000 - 3,300 in a seven day period. But I don't let up and I rarely take crappy loads. They love to tell you running those 400-500 mile trips make you more money but I think that's bull. Sure you make more per mile but you spend half your day loading and unloading. I do ok as far as money goes. Between 700 and 950 on great no hiccup weeks. I work for a southeast terminal so not real sure how Denver yard is. Each terminal is like its own company. Some are better than others. I've heard some real horror stories from drivers from other terminals but some are like mine and pretty laid back with good freight lanes. I got lucky and got an easy going terminal. You should be alright here. Bit of a heads up though. If you pick up a loaded trailer from purina in Denver. 1. It's heavy as hell go weigh it. 2. Get CLEAR directions out of there. Downtown Denver is not a great way to explore in a huge truck. Can't stress number 2 enough. That was almost real bad for me. Goodluck!
