Dude. I've been to knights orientation and walked out because of their no idle policy and 63mph max speed. Knight will be a waste of time , consider them related to swift only worse.
shadowdaddy, Chinatown and GITRDUN45 Thank this. -

You're an experienced driver & in big demand from companies other than training companies. Look at several options before you make a decision.
Holland Enterprises (avg. $60K per year)
System Transport (avg. $50K +/ terminal in Gary, IN)
Melton Truck Lines (avg. $50K +)
Navajo
Dynamic Transit

Knights starting pay is .33 for every driver. The .36 comes from them automatically including in .3 for every mile for your safety bonus. Only like 25% of driver see a safety bonus. Just another one of Knights lies.

Then you have to figure in all the time wasted by being set up for failure. You deliver a junk load at 0800, drop your empty at a customer and wait until 1400 for your next load. Only problem is the load was supposed to pick up at 1200 and you don't have an empty. That's your problem and when you finally find an empty and show up to get loaded, their in no mood to load you. Just be glad you found an empty and didn't have to live unload to get an empty for $10 bucks if you really keep after them.
I don't even think Knight would consider a driver with 4 years expieriance. They didn't open a driving school due to a driver shortage. There's just a shortage of drivers not willing to work for such a mess of a company from a drivers perspective.shadowdaddy Thanks this. -
