    Hi all,
I've been trying to reach a Knight recruiter since Wednesday but just get voicemail, probably due to the holiday. Anyhow, I notice on their site they have a list of states and the training hubs that serve them, however I do not see California listed under Phoenix, or anywhere for that matter. I went ahead and submitted an app anyway, but do they accept applicants from California in general? If so, what is the usual wait time to get into the program after you apply, if your accepted, of course.
Hope everyone had a safe and happy thanksgiving.

Yes they do accept applications from Cali. We have a I-5 corridor run, we have a western 11 run and we have a 48 states run that covers cali from what I gather so far. Now if they accept students for the Squire program out of Cali is another story. You have taken the right steps so far in submitting your application. I called them today to talk with my recruiter for an issue that arose and was told they are out of the office until Tuesday because of the holiday. I would give them until early next week and than call them and see about qualifying to get in to the squire program and get a ship date for getting to the school.

Right on, thanks for the reply. Yea, I figured this was probably not the best time to apply, with the holiday season upon us.
    Thanks again.

You will not get a hold of anyone until monday due to the holiday. When I was with Knight in 08 they were just starting the Squire program and as far as California residents the do traing out of Phoenix and are hubbed out of either Tulare of Forntana. The Knight webpage says very little where this is concerned.
Wish you good luck in your driving.

Thanks commontrack. Yea, the Fontana hub is about 37 miles from where I reside. Have you been to that yard, how is it?

Yes I've been to their Fontana yard. It is mostly just a trailer lot. Just a small break room, some bathrooms and a computer for scanning your paperwork.

Not anymore. Tulare is a ghost town now, it's a repair shop and they gutted the staff there, only one safety guy left, and shop people. Fontana has a full shop and showers, but is still a dump.

I just talked to a recruiter and she said they do not accept applicants from California for the Squier CDL training program. Bummer, I kind of liked the way their program looked. Anyhow, I figured I'd post the info in case anyone else is wondering.
