If you have a clean record you can be home every night and make more money than you would teaming at knight.

DON'T DO IT!!! It will be an expensive mistake. Knight transport is big because they have learned how to find creative revenue sources, their most profitable side source being their drivers. They will scam you out of money at every corner. In the short time we have worked for them, they have deducted company expenses from our checks, they have paid one team driver and conveniently neglected to pay the other. They expect us to maintain their equipment and downtime for dealing with mechanical issues (mainly the trailers) is not reimbursed. They will try and trick you into joining their per diem program without telling you that they charge 2 cents a mile to administer it, essentially taking back all the tax refund you would otherwise be entitled to. We were promised 5000 miles per week, but between the cancelled jobs, the live load/unload, the poor planning and wait times between loads, we have only been getting 2500 a week. Go find a mid-sized company that cares about it's employees, that's what we're going to do.

I don't drive team, but I consistently get 3500 to 4000 miles a week with Knight. And I get home every weekend for at least 34 hours off, often times more. And, my dispatcher respects me, not only as a truck driver, but as a human being. Life is good.

Sorry, shouldn't even be on this thread, but Knight is what you make of it, and it's not really a team operation. It suits me, but then again, I am near the end of my career, and don't give a big ####.

Tracyq144 you must have a pretty fast truck if you are doing 4000 miles in 5 days. Clearly not the governed truck I've been driving. By my calculations if you drive your full 11 hours every day you would be averaging over 72 miles an hour. I'm guessing you don't get into weather, hills or city traffic ever.
