Well I sure am happy that they fixed the DRIVER PORTAL and added a nacho button.

p.s.
Jim, I second the nacho button! Make the fooker standard. -
Why?
Because they pay more. They take care of their drivers. Companies all over the country are doing this. The only difference is they don't get the majority of their drivers from craigslist.
They don't hire fresh out of school. They don't do a lot of things the big companies do. And from what I'm hearing is there is another class action suit forming. -
Dna Mach Thanks this.

Your not going to get the same pay out of a mega that you would out of a mom and pop or a specialized carrier like (Associated Foods) a mega is a good place to start out get some experience and move on if you live in a area that supports that. Pay among bigger carriers and even some mom and pops have been stagnated for years. (Example, D&D Trans out of Gooding, ID. used to start drivers at 29cpm with 2 years exp) The problem with pay is industry wide. Why you may get lucky and get on to one that pays its drivers decent, those normally have a nice long line of drivers waiting to get in as they tend to be on the rare side of things. The problem is there are WAY to many drivers that will accept .29 cpm for the industry to ever change as a whole.Leftnut Thanks this. -
Problem is, they don't have much choice, as the choices are dwindling.
Think it's mere coincidence that the fact that so many illegal immigrants do work for low wages, and that the wages are shrinking proportionately?
And just a wild guess here but; could it possibly be that all the large mega trucking companies are the driving force behind the enactment of the cross border program?
After all; there are untold millions and millions of warm bodies 'down there' that would do anything for 20 cents a mile.
It's all just a matter of time; just gotta work out all those pesky 'bugs' with the insurance companies (that and the fact that America's senators drive the same roads as those proposed illegals).Leftnut Thanks this.
