Just curious; Does anyone know if a company (or anyone else, for that matter) could check an individuals' past employment without consulting tax records?
I would think, in this gilded age of computers that there is likely yet another specific, for profit, reporting program (simaliar to DAC, Experian, Trans Union, Etc.) to provide just about any type of background information on any individual.
Perhaps something like jobsforslobs.com; Subscribe now and receive one month free with a five year contract for just $119.00 a month! (early termination fees apply). -
The reason that you have to get a permit before hand is because Knight is not set up for students to utilize their address as a temporary one to go to a local DMV and get their permit. So they require ALL students to show up with at least their Permit.

I'll have my CDL A license, have a permit right now, by the end of next week. I asked for a pre-hire letter and they are going to send it. I'm enrolling into the squire program? Where I do 2-3 days orientation and sit with a trainer for 4 weeks in a truck. I wasn't told that I needed to bring w-2s but I saw on here you did. I had to ask my recruiter if i should bring my self employment w-2s. Are they just checking to make sure you were employed? I don't get it. And she told me to bring everything in person, not to fax or e-mail it... I don't want to be carrying my w-2s for 4 weeks...

Yes they need it for employment verification. Sucks, but it is needed by the company for hiring. Also if you have any breaks in employment make sure you have at least 2 family and 2 non family references that you can list to verify your "non criminal acts" during that time period.

I just had a bad experience with knight squire. I do not recommend it. I'm going to a different company.
