yeah, the trucking school i just finished wants me to get a job there too. When I first started I wanted Stevens. Both are reefers. I might just drop them a e-mail or phone call.

I was so impressed with knight that I quit!, U boys must have died and gone to heaven, cause none of those good things happens out west. Dispatcher, asking U where U'd like to go?,non-exsistent,forced dispatch!,nice trucks?,yeah, they look good from the outside, but wait til ur movin' on down the rode and have a nd electrical malfunction!,all hell breaks loose, then U quallcom them, and the clown says,"U'll be alright!,just get back to Phoenix,we'll fix it there,Right,3 flats in 2 weeks, after telling the college boy who ran the shop, that the tire's werent makin'it!,bald spots, even wear, side walls weathered and cracked!, I even got in a volvo ,where the last guy liked them so much,he crapped on the back wall of the sleeper! U've got to be joking! and I havent even got to pay issues!,good luck!:biggrin_25510:

I guess you have not enjoyed your Knight-mare, as we say. I endured 93 DAYS of hell from the worst company I ever worked for in more than 34 years. The only reason it spent that long there was because they kept me sitting in dirty California on layover for days at a time and then refusing to pay me my layovers waiting for a 325 mile trip that delivered in 4 days!!!

I'll never admit how long I stayed in hopes they would get better or as my DM would say "until the economy picks up" That was written on a post it note at his desk stuck on top of an inter-office memo. The same desk that was micro managed by a stupid kid that hasn't, doesn't, and never will give a flip about the things that effect a drivers day draining his already pathetic board room inspired projected annual income down to dismal levels that would leave the family dog sick and tired of table scraps and willing to kill for some Sam's Choice Alpo.

i can confirm the "Goverened Truck" issues with knight. Yes they are goverened at the 63 mph range I believe to start..BUT>>> with a 90 day clean safety record they bump you up an additional 2 mph and so on. Hope this helps!! Safety First..

BTW, I've heard that they teach ostriches (noted large dumb birds) to drink water by putting "shiny, colorful things: in the water so that the dumb birds will peck at them and get some water in the process...:biggrin_2559:

Did they change it from an idle % based top speed? Safety was the last thing on their mind when they came up with that one. You had a bunch of drivers just dozing for a few hours in extreme temps to keep their top speed up. Nothing safe about that.
