So I'm pulling off the road after a few years and going to work for an agent as a full-time broker where I'll be specializing in primarily expedited freight.I wanted to ask some of you drivers out there what are some of the different things that annoy you the most when it comes to dealing with a broker.I want to help you guys move freight without getting on your nerves so bad that you don't even want to bother calling me back to book a load - what are some of the personality traits that you look for in a good broker and what do you consider to be acceptable freight nowadays?

Complete and accurate dispatch. The words "I don't know" or "They didn't tell me this is a 3PL load" should never be used. Get all the information about the load ahead of time and have your information in front of you. Be complete, concise, to the point, and above all else HONEST. You lie to a driver once, and it's going to get out that you aren't trustworthy. If you forget to call someone back right away, call them back and apologize. Let them know you care. If your customer screws you or your driver around, go to bat for them when possible. Above all else... ALWAYS BE SAFETY FIRST!
