New with Landstar. Got 2 overweight on rear axle tickets in a row. Containers from port. Total weight fine. Can Landstar terminate my lease over this? I am very frustrated.
Overweight citations. Need advice ASAP

There is NO CSA point associated with OW tickets, so I think you should be ok as long as you pay the tickets.
Are you pulling their trailer or your ?
If you have your own, then why don't you have at least a air gauge tapped to your front air bags on the trailer ?
I also have to ask if the load was heavier then what you booked them for ?
Cause if it is, then the agent might be able to collect from the customer for your fines since the load was misrepresented.Aiken Thanks this. -
No your alright take this as a hard learned lesson you should be weighing your loads from now on

No.You have to ''screw'' up pretty bad to get tossed out of Landstar...

Thanks, everyone. We learned now. One more thing we will newer do again is PORTS and CONTAINERS, as well as go, go, go loads..... Both of those was team loads. To much pressure when you stuck at the port for five hours.

5 hours in a port....they must have been in a hurry that day. Ports, rail yards and grocery vendors...plan to rest.

The kedzie, cicero and hodgkins yards and chicago do not have much of a wait

If in doubt, SCALE IT OUT!. At least you only got a fine for being over on rear axle. If you were over gross, some states that s a moving violation
