Nice! I wonder if it would be to much to ask for some numbers? What is it costing you what did you find for a truck/ The cost for repairs to said truck you know!!!

I can throw out some numbers. I won't work too hard. I used to be an accountant. If you ask me to do too much math, I start charging by the hour.

We could only afford a $15,000 truck (this is our first one). I have spent another $5000 getting it to pass inspections, fixing little things, and the AC.
I figure we spend about 70cents per mile to run. We get about 7mpg. 6.5mpg to 9mpg
We get loads from $4-1.55/mile gross. We do expensive runs and sometimes have cheap ones to get back to Texas. If we only chase the good loads to the decent areas, we average decent money. Net we get $3-$1.30.
So we are making $.60/mile on up to $2.30/mile and we drive 3-4000 miles per week. We do mostly solo loads. We take our time or sometimes deliver early. We make more money on fast team runs and some where we help unload and make more money (and I need the exercise).
We have spent some of the summer hiding from the South, so we are not maxing out our moneymaking. -
My wife filled out another copy of the DMV Hazmat form yesterday, so hopefully they won't lose this one.

We like taking loads to the cooler parts of the country right now
