Yes, US dollars! Freight going into central Canada usually pays pretty good because their isn't alot of freight coming out of there

you pay that when you buy your fuel with the exception of a few states.. other wise you already paid it and depending on how you buy fuel you may not owe any or very little or a lot.. some get a refund.

I finally got my info package from Landstar and the rate coming in was OK...but definitely not great after they take their cut. And the rate coming out of AB/SK (lumber probably) was downright dreadful. One load was 1.44 a mile before the LS cut. So what...about $1.05 a mile to the truck for a 46-4800 lb load. Ouch...no thanks. It'd be not so bad if the load back was paying a solid 3-4 bucks a mile after their cut. But it all looked mid $2 range.

Anybody else leased onto Landstar as a team and had one of the drivers terminated. What has happened to the second driver? Are they terminated as well or can they stay leased on and drive as a solo.

What would one driver do that the other didn't as a TEAM that would get them terminated? Couldn't pass hazmat screening?

You need to get with corporate on that question as only they hold the answer. You may have to form a new corporate entity or have him resign from the corporation you have now. Find out how corporate will handle it. If they aren't helping, there's a guy that gets results, just post on the FB groups and somebody will give you his name. I think it's Dan something. Good luck. If it doesn't work, you should post the truck in the marketplace here if you're still going to sell it.

Drivers Legal Plan. Best 13 bucks per month I ever spent. They've gotten me out of so many jams I've lost count. Guessing that texting ticket never makes it to Landstar if he had their service. I'm working at Landstar because of them. I have a perfect record......... on paper.

Do I need to register a EIN# to fill out a 2290 form? is there a fee to sign/register a 2290? This is one of the last things required by LS to put me on
