yeah....we aren't there yet but LS had to call our current employer and they did so today. That's what I meant.

Yeah, that's one bad thing about going with LS when you have your truck leased to someone else.
Trinity, CH Robinson and Landstar's Broker board keep me going when I was waiting to get on with LS.

I was independent so it didn't bother me. Not every one has that luxury.

Right, just making sure that Drivers know that when Landstar contacts your employer for Emploment verification that it's not going to sit well with your current employer.LOL

They'll treat you like the red-headed step child that you always hear about. LOL

Plus, I think Landstar likes to do it. It makes you more serious once they call for verification.

That is why I chuckled at my dispatcher when he asked me where I was going when I told them I wish to terminate my lease....he already knew.

When you lease on with them they are your exclusive source for freight. They will fire you for "black balling" your own freight.

HOW EVER if you wish to haul the load you referred to you can call your favorite agent and run that load thru him. Then every thing is cool. You MIGHT even be able to talk him into taking a lesser cut of the revenue because he didn't have to go find the load. But don't count on that.
