Sounds like someone needs to hang up the gear shifter and call it a day ..
You remind me of one of the old timers ####### on the radio about how us new school fools have no idea what it's like to be a real trucker... Yeah we have air ride, gps, and cellphones and a little thing called internet. If you broke down on the cabbage hill or any remote area you were screwed until another trucker came along, not to mention how much longer my kidneys will last from not being blasted by 80's truck suspensions.. etc..

Keep that negativity for ch.19 on skip days

Im a bco, (9 yrs on this go around)and what has been stated above is true the agent codes change monthly, all of landstars agents are directed to broker first, landstar bco's last , ($2000 load on bco board, is a 1700 load for a outside carrier, they split the profit between agent and ls sytems , all of the million dollar plus a year agents are all logistics now(or they left), paid at 26 % for loads , was 8%, C.H. robinson is now landstars #1 customer,(imagine that a another logistic co,that under cuts our rates) not GE, not the military, rolls Royce, haliburton, GM,ford(lost our employees discount for both) everything is flat rated thru a 3rd party, so they don't disclose or pay out accessorial fees ,or detention pay, oversize loads have a fuel matrix there suppose to use, but when you inquire all of a sudden they play stupid, and this is agents ive dealt with regularly for yrs

if this isn't the biggest piece of crap I've ever read....

1st of all, it's written in a few agents contracts with customers that they can't use any outside carriers. All of their freight with said agent must go on a Landstar truck.

2nd. Plenty of agents don't even have their own customers. They pull stuff off load boards, so they now got to offer a double brokered load to another carrier before offering it to a BCO?? Doesn't make any sense... Some bitter LS driver down in FL or TX told you wrong
