What do you mean to the truck? Is that seperate from what you take home as a driver? -
our fleet has around 63 trucks of that about 12 are O/O's like me
i turn down regular freight unless i don't want to eat the dead head miles.... i've deadhead up to 800 miles to get a load... that load paided over $6.50 a mile with a back load over $5.50 a mile......most pay in the $2-$3 range but i do get them over $10.
last year my avg pay to the truck was $707 a day for every day the truck wasn't sitting at home (breakdown, 34,or what ever reason i wasn't moving)
my group does only high dollar loads that will fit inside a 53' van...... i've had loads as small as 1 475 lb. palletWickedfire77, Lonestar16, Mackel and 3 others Thank this. -

thats what the truck (me) gets after the company get there percentage BEFORE i pay my expenses (fuel and the like)
my NET in pocket after all expenses (fuel, repairs, tires, fixed... everything) was 407 a day for every day the truck wasn't at home
net / by days out (per diem) = $407.54 per dayLast edited: Feb 10, 2015
