Trailer type?

Am looking at a move to ls. Have a skate board, its old, rusty, worn out. Can't look at anything but the broker board, but the following trailer spec looks good there. 53' low single drop, three axle, dove tail with ramps, 12 and 24 inch pin settings. Also need to add 4th axle to truck. Thoughts please, thanks.

Dave
P.S. I am at one of the Mason-Dixon sister companies now. Might not have to change if I had a more open minded agent. Any one else from MD snooping around here? Suggestions on a better agent might keep me from having to move. Thanks.

I don't work with LS or MD, but I was talking to one of the Universal AnCam drivers a month or two ago about agents. He found a good one, MD agent, she was around Cleveland OH or Detroit I believe. Don't know if this helps, but thought I would throw it out.

I hope that they do give you an agent book. I would look up this way for work though. Things seem to be loosening up.

Well Waterloo, this is part of my problem with them. Getting info. I've requested an agent list, no reply. I like the big system/load board, but you are required to have a "home agent". If you get to free lancing too much, your agent gets his boxers in a bunch. He's the one who has to put fuel advances on your card and do other stuff for you. You can imagine. I have tried and succeded at walking the thin line, but it gets tiresome and agravating. I'm just too old and cranky and indepentent, I guess.

I know the feeling.

And I kinda figured they were keeping you in the dark. I know the guys you are working for, and it does not surprise me.

you dont need an agent at mason dixon

Im currently at eti a sister company of mason dixon driver you can call central head quaters an ask them how you can get a mochasoft password. Im a driver/agent my self. I pull only a flat bed. I use mocha soft everyday to find loads. youl need to learn how to use it though it is difficult. See as a driver/agent you find the loads and see what they pay right on the screen. you then call agent to chat about the load ect. then I call my operations manager in tampa tell him my current pro# he enters it into computer. I tell him to put info into computer. like he finals me out he makes my empty move an loads my comdata card. I should do this all my self but still learning process.
now for instance if you find your self in a place were your agent currently cant find you a load you can use internet truckstop and find your own loads ect. check brokers creddit to see if the have any. ect.
now this option is cool because you make an etra 8% in stead of your agent. youl be able to break down load with fuel surcharge 10% tarp fee ect.
you dont need agent to operate only for a load on load board.
see if your agent is an ####### he can put broker freight on you all the time an make a 8% of the gross right off the top. he cant make any commmision if he is doing his job correctly an loading you with uti freight he only then make a commision on his freight going out.
Youl need a laptop shure you have one.
if you go to mason dixon home page you see a link in top right corner that says tl 2000 this is the mocha soft link but you need a password from head quaters ok.
dont talk to your agent about this because it might anger him becuase you might just start running freelance uti freight and not need him no more ok. deal dorectly with central in michigan. tell them your considdering leaving because bad agent that you want to run load board and need password itll take a couple of days to get it.

this is the problem with trucking our owneroperators are depending on agents for work an agents are depending on you to line their pockets.
I dont hall for just on agent I use hole network to find freight and im in total control of my own destiny.

you can even post truck on board for freight youl understand when you learn an get password. this isnt a bad copany at all actual we have a lot of freight. good an bad ok. good look
