I was fortunate a few weeks ago met a landstar BCO who took some time out of his day to show me the load board and how it works. He also let me look at the freight in a few of the lanes I currently run. I have to say the setup is way easier than I anticipated. I am just curious is there a list of those agents that people continually have problems with? To me it sounds like learning who to and who not to deal with will be the hardest thing to figure out.

Rogerk Thanks this.

Good to know there is a list. I would imagine you probably never will be. I've read a lot of posts by you and not only appreciate the perspective you bring but also can see your commitment to your job. And besides you seem smart enough to know without the drivers no one makes a dime something most company management seems to forget. And as a broker it benefits us all to just be honest usually that keeps problems to a minimum. I pull quite a few brokered loads through the company I'm with to get me back to our freight a lot of ch Robinson junk and I can't tell you how many times I've been yanked around by those guys.

Well thanks for the compliments. I'm very proud of what we do and our agency and don't take our reputation lightly. I'm personally not a fan of CHR, but they are one of my biggest competitors on the brokerage side, so that's pretty much a given. I don't like how they underprice the market just toget the freight and then lowball drivers.

hey OZR, I have read a lot on L/S and understand that they have 2 different load boards one for boc and one for approved carriers what is the MONEY difference between the 2 boards. I see a lot of long haul pay(+300 miles) on short miles(-300miles) on the landstarbroker board meaning short $ is there a big differnce on the BOC side?

Brokered carriers only see generic load information unless the agent puts what the load is paying in the comments section. Pay variance depends solely on the agent and whether they have integrity or are just another dirtbag.07-379Pete Thanks this. -
