If your credit is 730, you better save your money til you can buy a truck. If you lease purchase a truck, the owner writes if off twice and you pay all the bill and are at his mercy. A Prime example, they were pulling trucks in the shop at 150000 miles, telling them they needed a new engine and pulling it out, painting it and putting it in another leasers truck and giving the other engine to the guy. He got a newly repainted engine. I'd wager 90 percent go bankrupt then they are ruined for years.

I have the money to pay off my credit cards and I'm sure it will go up a lot, but it's all mostly 0% cards I have a balance on but I'm rather have extra cash in my hands just in case.

Yes, this is the norm but, I was not willing to do the norm and my Lease Purchase is just like buying a truck from an O/O and leasing it on to his company. I have all the control I want, I pick my loads off a load board, I can do upgrades to the truck, I can buy fuel where I want, I can go where I want and I can go home when I choose. I read the rules on being an Independent and lease purchases, I know them well and I have no problems with the company I am with. But again, mine is NOT the norm...

If you don't know what's going one with your truck and let someone tell you need a new engine and just letting them pull it .. then you deserve to go belly up.

And that said ... name the company. Bet you can't. But you heard from a driver, who knows a driver, that was friend of a mechanic who did the work.

It is possible to find something like you got, my comment was to the general public, that might be looking into a lease, most mega carriers lease deal, is a great deal! For the company! Not the driver

I can give you the number to the company I am with, the same company (mom, pop & son) that I am buying my current truck through. I know they have an old Pete that they are willing to sell but, I don't know the details. All I know is they will give you a good deal and it will be a true lease, with a $1 pay off at the end. Tommy is the son and he is the CEO Let me know..

Have you been to Lone Mountain lately? Although they have some used trucks, they are selling Brand New ones also, Pete's, Frieghtshakers, Volvo's...

Why own over lease? By the time you own your running into big repairs and no warranty. Just asking if a few hundred a week is worth it.Especially knowing you need to save that few hundred a week for higher maintenance and repairs. I am not arguing just trying to understand.yes I pay 2190 per month but to me 25000 a year can't make up for the stress and added lost time higher repair and maintenance budget. Please convince me like your a salesman after a higher sales commission from me by buying over leasing. Thanks
