.98 CPM + FSC is a little higher than most l/p i have been looking at, yes it is low for an owner operator that has a lot more risk involved.

I wasn't asking comments on th l/p itself, I have the brains to figure it out on my own. I was asking about the Company in question, operations, runs, etc etc. I am a big boy and am capable of figuring out the financial side of it. After all I did go to LSU for 4 years and managed to get a business degree.

I noticed that too thats why I created a speadsheet and did the math myself, they were off a few dollars, but it added up on the bottom line. I think it has to do with the fractions of cents and rounding. The way I figured it after everything bring home on 2500 miles should be about 1200.00. then deduct 20% for taxes, I can live with 975.00 bring home on 2500 miles.Mainly I am looking to get out of the reefer business. ANd all the dry box companies in middle tennessee only want to pay you .30-.34 cpm, and i don't want to work with a company that has more than 350 trucks been there done that.I don't need the benefits my wife works at Nissan and I get them through her.

Wish I could've gotten on at ACT but they are not hiring out of Middle Tennessee right now too many drivers in the area, at least they were honest up front.

Im not trying to make you look bad or anything but a l/o is basically an o/o buying his truck from whatever company hes leased to. You know that I shouldnt be telling you that. My thing is the rates should be tne same for both. Now I dont know if its possible for you but why not buy a truck outright and lease on to a carrier that you like. I was leased onto Tmc and landstar. Never hauled a load for less than $2 per mile and always stayed busy. Just ow how you make outaying seems really low. But youll never know till you try let us know how you make out.

If you are not in a real big hurry, that could change at any time.

I understand your point, and have taken it under advisement.

Tennessee Trucker, I worked for ACT. You done yourself a huge favor for not going there, that's all I'm saying about that. I too have been looking at RTI and have done the math. I am speaking with Travis there and have sent in my application. From everything I have been able to get about the company is they are none forced dispatch, except in the case when your delivering outside of the freight lanes and they will broker you a load getting you back into the lanes. Travis told me to use the average of .96 will working the spread sheet, I still can live with those numbers as KC is home for me.
