who has the best lease program for some one with six mounths otr

When was this? they seemed to have improved there program with a different payment structure and much more fuel efficient trucks. If I was going to go l/p right now JCT would be at the top of my list.

 

That is what I had thought? I would like to hear more about this. Thanks.

This is now we are still there in the process of looking at a different company we have also talked to a few others that are leaving. They have a high turn over rate. Like one of the other posts said don't do a lease that isnt a fixed payment.

 

1. OTR TL has a high turnover rate. It's not for everybody.

2. So you rather owe between 500 and 1500 after coming back from a week off than 120? I don't get it.

 

It all depends on your goals. If you're teaming at JCT with this new variable lease, you should be planning on paying off the truck. You're making higher payments because of the extra miles, but a dedicated team can pay off a new truck in 3 years or so. Fixed payments are nice if you're burning up the road, but at JCT some teams and ALL solo drivers are way ahead on the new lease.

I also post my trips, miles, and settlements. JCT isn't for everyone, and it sure isn't a perfect company. But a lot of us are doing very well!

 

Just another PRIME HATER that likely never worked there as a driver or LP but knows someone that did and failed or heard it on the CB or at the lunch counter at a truckstop..
