I think I'll just nap after dark a few hrs. Getting all those things sounds like a science experiment on myth busters .

Ah. Grocery warehouses. I have a rescheduled appointment there at 0230. Yet I'm here early. Originally I was covering this load because it was late and needed to be covered. It got me out of TX and up to Mo. The reschedule didn't happen until I was about an hour away. So I'm hanging out in here (TA) until I go in to the warehouse. I hope I get a good groove going tomorrow to keep busy after a slow weekend and late start. (I am getting 2 days layover though)

I have always had an infernal hatred of grocery warehouses. From the stupid appointment only within an hour to be let in, to the "you're done get out" policy. Lumpers who have a non complex job take near 3 hrs to complete. I don't miss reefer days at all. It all came back to me today as to why they suck. (Grocers, not reefers)
and they treat drivers, all drivers, like ####e. Glad to be done here . I'm getting a coffee , anyone care to join me ?

When I was doing ltl we had to unload and break the pallets down ourselves. Hated that but it killed most of the day at one stop. When you was done they would have someone come back and check to make sure everything was done right and if you caught shift change then you were there for a while waiting on that also. It just was not my cup of tea.

I can't bring myself to ride on a super single with 2 strips of tread ripped away. (Noticed it when I got to my new shipper) so I am waiting on a road service call. Won't cost me anything but time. Although time has become a precious commodity of late. Better to get it done now , than have a blowout and ruin a rim on top of it. Call me cautious.

2 strips of tread missing is not good. Glad you noticed it now instead of later on down the road. Hope it goes better after fixed.

Popcorn most warehouses now if they will let the driver unload require it to be done in 2-3 hrs

a lot of the time what you wait for in grocery warehouses is the receiver to check product in not limpets I have unloaded myself at some places and had to wait 30 minutes or more just to get checker over to recieve it in so I could get my bills and leave
