Thanks for the detailed answers. Commingling does mean switching funds from one account to another - it can get confusing and make you either lose or inappropriately take valuable deductions - and I am sure your wife the accountant is there to keep you from getting in too much trouble...as all wives do, right!

Wife does nothing with my trucking business, but she does do our taxes so, this will be her first year to do business taxes. We use Turbo Tax and I have already talked to her about this and she says it will be no problem. As far as my bank accounts, I am the only one that has access to them. I have Integrity so, I do everything with my money that I am supposed to do..

Delivered the Fiberglass drill pipe and picked up 47,000 of RR ties, and heading to McBain, MI Hoping to find a short load to keep me busy the 23rd and 24th, and getting home on the 24th. Than find a couple short runs on the 26th and be back by the 29th.

Didn't work out as hoped but, good enough to get home for CHRISTmas, a day early. I was able to get a load of lumber from just down the road from where I dropped the RR Ties. But, I had to sit on it until this morning. Heck of a time trying to find good paying short runs on a friday but, got a couple 20' containers that I had to DH 88 miles for. Drop them tomorrow morning than, wait until Monday to pickup a load of shingles, that will get me close to the house again. Than, I am going to sit for a few days and start over... I will plan better for this time next year..
Wickedfire77 and 123456 Thank this. -
Had to cancel the shingles load, due to miss-communication with the broker regarding the pickup location and delivery date. I am only 168 miles from the house but, I need to make some money to cover expenses this week. As it is I will only make enough, maybe, to pay the fixed costs, and fuel. I will be going home Monday for my daughters court case Tuesday, she will be given her minimum sentence that day. The whole family will be there for support than, I will leave out Thursday for a couple of weeks. I am trying to average $5K a week but be home on the weekends. Not an easy thing to do, let me tell you...

Forgot to say,,, The other day, I got ahold of a Steel fabrication company I used to work for in the late 80's & early 90's as a laborer. I am now set up with them to haul their product directly. They have 6 locations and plenty of customers. When I left them in 1993, they had one shop, that they recently moved to. I started with them in 1989'sh at a small plant in downtown Grand Rapids, MI About 8 months later, we moved to a bigger building on Industrial Park Dr in Grandville, MI I learned more in the 3.5 years I worked for them than I did before, or since, at any other job I have worked at. I look forward to becoming someone they can count on, and use me a lot for loads going out of MI I hope to find another customer, or two, before the summer hits. That is my goal for this coming year....
