What do you mean; " It all sounds good but the Glider part "? A glider is way better than a brand new any truck, with all the emissions stuff... The truck I am buying was not totaled but, it had to have most of the front replaced, including the axle...due to an Accident that the last driver could not avoid.

Take that gross figure and multiply it by .09. So $6200 x .09 = $558. Set that amount aside for taxes. Do that for every settlement and you should be good on taxes at the end of the year. Sometimes drivers like seeing those big numbers coming in and forget to set aside enough to pay taxes on their income and end up with a big bill in the new year with no money saved to pay it. That figure should get you pretty close if not ahead in most cases when you do your taxes. Good luck!

So your take home would be $1541.51 after taxes

Okay, Okay....lol Sorry everyone, have been busy and than fell behind on everything but all caught up now. I have been doing good, in fact better than good most weeks. As expected some weeks are not so good but, as long as I have money in my pocket and my Fixed/Variables get paid, that is good, and every week since I started this journey has done that. I pick my own loads and wouldn't have it any other way.

For the Month of June I was only making .29cpm and in July that number went up to .33cpm As you can see, that isn't much and thank God I have very little personal expenses. Just so it is clear, I take out 25% for taxes from each settlement, in fact, I am about to make my first Quarterly contribution, which sucks!

If I can get motivated anytime soon to do it, I will post my Business Report for June and July. I am about to do Aug so feel free to ask me any questions, specifically about my numbers.

I am told, I will get my Step-Deck after this weekend Holiday, probably the week after next. I will be buying it, not "renting" it, like I am this reefer trailer and, I won't have to pay for reefer fuel either. In the beginning I will be paying for all the equipment; $2500 for all chains, straps, tarps...etc plus, the Headache Rack, which is a closet type. Excellent deal, in my opinion. I look forward to finally getting it and doing the work I love to do,,this reefer crap is for....well, people other than me..lol

I have always wanted to try doing Step/flat , but I sweat when I breathe, I imagine a day would be lost just covering/securing a load. Maybe after I shed my lbs off my gut I'll think about it more seriously.
Glad you are doing well sir!

I don't want you to have this pretty picture in your head of being all fit and what not...lol I am out of shape, the worst in my life in fact. I left the Military in 2011 and have went down hill ever since. I pulled a flat bed back in 2011 and it took me 3 months to get up to speed, it will take longer this time but, it will happen. One thing I learned in the Military, I CAN adapt to any situation.... I love hard work, more than I love pulling a reefer...lol
