Soon this thread will be filled with people say don't lease, your an a-hole if you lease purchase, blah, blah, blah. I'm doing it with success. like you say, not getting rich nor do I intend to. FYI many, many threads on it, but they are cluttered with the don't LP posts by people who have never LP.

I will add that not all LP are the same, most are walk away, not all. Do your home work, don't jump into one just because they are offering a bright shinny truck. The truck chosen has a lot to do with success or failure (break down time), also most LP do fail, so know what your getting into, talk to there LP drivers not just the liars (ops I mean recruiters).

I am also a LP and meeting with success. I will caution you however to realize that you will need a completely different mindset if you are rolling survive.
    1. Home time, manage it wisely. Your business must come first.
    2. Manage your time and money. Do not get into the trap of running yourself out of hours. You make no money sitting at a truck stop for 34 hours.
    3. Route planning and fuel stop planning are critical. That's why the big carriers do it.
    4. Turn off the truck. Do not idle one second more than you have to. Ever.

These are just a couple of minimum things to think about.

Good luck and feel free to PM me with questions.

Thank you guys for the positive feedback I don't want no shiny new truck because that brings alone of headaches as to how in the heck I'm going to pay almost 900 to $1000 a week I want an older truck like 2009 or around there im just trying to make myself proud and feel as if I accomplished something that a lot of people doubt is possible

Why be a company driver when I'm already paying off a truck that I drive for a company getting .035cpm-.38cpm when I can try and get a truck paying it off it takes time but the outcome will be great and the money will come in due time I'm very patient

You should check out Bay and Bay in Rosemount, MN !!!! One of the best lease programs in the industry!!! Many, many success stories re: their lease program!!! Very good equipment, super miles, excellent customer base, outstanding dispatchers, etc..... And, with your location you would get home on a regular basis!!! Check them out!!!
