EXACTLY! This is a companies dream, I'll say it again!

    1. Companies love it because you pay the bills
    2. You wont quit because it will ruin your credit
    3. You're forced to stay out on the road and work, or else you wont make any money!

Congratulations, you're now an indentured servant who can turn down loads, bob tail home and go 2-6 mph faster than your company driver!

But also on that note when I left my last l/p it did nothing detrimental to my credit

    For awhile.

The end game with a lease is to take the title and drive a paid off truck, or take it to the dealer and use it as a trade in for a down payment on a new(er) one, this time in your own name. (They usually require 25% down if you go to the Peterbilt or Volvo dealer and want to talk about financing...)

Ppl need to realize there is 2 diff types of lease programs lease purchase and a straight lease which is what I do I make good money and yes by the time my lease is up I will have played more than what the truck is valued at but 100% of my lease payments are tax deductible which isn't the case if your buying a truck I'm not sure how that is calculated but its not 100% of what you paid for the truck another thing is most of the people who are critical of a lease have never done one or failed because of stuff they did wrong but cant live with that fact so they blame it in the company they leased from really ppl where is it profitable for a company to see you fail

Even a purchase is 100% deductible ... the principal is depreciated and the interest is deducted as you pay it.

how much is it depreciated each year and how many years do you get to do that or is that variable based on amount paid for truck . I'm just curious as my tax lady may have explained it to me wrong or more likely I misunderstood her . I understood doing deprecation never added up to the amount you paid for the truck am I wrong?

Cardinal Logistics has a better deal; it's a purchase, not a lease.

Not sure where you get your info. Im a 1 st time lease going on my final yr of which ive completed 2.5 yrs . I get a choice of loads go home whenever, if i go home and my week cut short. They give me the extra miles to make up for it. I have spent 16000 in repairs in 2.5 yr including pms. Im currently sitting in the shop at KW getting rear end replaced which by the way is under warranty , covers my tow bill and hotel expenses. I have an option to skip 6 payments. And i only use them such as now because of a major fsilure. I have paid 60,000 in trk payments and have yet to miss any. You must of had a bad exp but thats not a reflection of the industry as a whole just yours
