Kind of sad that is more than likely why you started this thread so can have something to bicker with people about, cause you know some of these driver's are eating popcorn right now waiting for you to come on here crying about how your broke and don't have a pot to piss in cause you wanted to try and prove that your fleece deal would work.

Funny you should say that. I'm in a similar situation elsewhere and am both moderately successful and happy with my lot for now.

I like positive threads like this.

I see gross revenue minus fuel cost but I don't see anyone listing depreciation and maintenance cost especially future set aside money for maintenance and what about payments, Insurance , license ,office cost such as phone, internet etc?

When I figure my cost this is what I use

    Fuel,

Maintenance ( amount put aside for each mile)

    License and registration, permits

    tolls if any

    phone,internet , tax prep (CPA)

    Depreciation

    insurance

    Meals

A lot of guys see the take home pay but don't understand that there are more expenses to deduct..

Rooster you did well, lucky to get out of TN by dark Friday. were you under 12 wide?

Now how well did you come out of Laredo?

Question who do you haul for?

Im not big on bickering. I know there are guys waiting for me to fail. I wanted to start this sos s people could see there are good leases, and profitable leases. This isn't a blueprint for success. This is my story.

I don't worry about depreciation on this lease. Its not a lease purchase, and its only 52 weeks. Maintenance is already listed as a deduction. Its in the LONG first post. Meals and living expenses are covered with the 150 weekly draw. I also show a 13% net escrow deduction to cover taxes and other things.

My load out of Laredo was not great. Like I had mentioned, I needed to take that small load to get out of Laredo and into Houston to get the truck fixed. That trip grossed $719 for 310 miles.

The VA to CA run was under 12' wide.

    dukeofearl and hal380 Thank this.

Thank you for your informative, honest post. I'm sure you've opened up a few eyes about how a lease works in the real world.
