The company takes those funds and applies them to an escrow that I have access to. That money is always mine and can be gotten to at anytime by me. At least that's how it's supposed to work.

I do understand what you are saying, and it's always an internal debate as to keeping that money in an account with them, or putting it in my own. In this case ease of use is the winning vote, so far.

You're DOING GREAT-im pretty sure when you feel like when the MONEY STOPS ADDING UP OR NOT ENUFF FOR U ..THEN .you'll MOVE AROUND
So far so GOOD I'm glad your putting down YOUR GOOD WEEKS AND BAD WEEKS ..it helps those who are thinking about LEASING with a more REALISTIC VIEW..aside from all the HE SAY,SHE SAY and will let those who follow your PATH help make a MORE INFORMED DECISION.

So you're ONE driver who seems to be successful leasing (for now), there were thousands before you who failed. What I have seen is your best weekly take home pay was over $6k, your worst was $100. The average seems to be around $1,100 or $1,200. Now are you paying into social security, do you have unemployment and health insurance? Your earnings are 1099 so you'll be left holding a very heavy bag at tax time.

It's like the guy who won some money at a casino and is trying to convince everyone they should go in and play.

Where do you get your numbers? I have listed 4 weeks of settlements. The take home numbers are as follows: $177.21, $1646.45, $6615.75, $1263.79. That equals $9702.40.
Add those to my total take home on page 1, $21901.14 and you get $31,603.54. Divide that by the 16 weeks I have been leasing here and you get a weekly average of $1975.22.

Also I have already stated I have a % taken out of my net each week to cover taxes. I do not need an employer to provide medical for me.

This is is exactly the kind of attitude I am talking about. Even his sorta compliment "you're ONE driver who seems to be successful" is backhanded with the addition of "for now".

Can you please explain your $1100 to $1200 average?

    Great information.

What everyone should look at that many that fail and blame others don't see (and likely never will) is that he did research. He actually read the lease. How many of those flame outs that call them ALL fleaces ever read a lease?

I laugh at the guys that sign a one sided contract and then blame the other gut because they are ignorant.

Actually that bag's pretty light ... my effective tax rate is less than 5% ... wonderful things happen on Schedule C.

Compare that to a company driver who has absolutely no way to escape with less than 7%, just because of SS.

That's why my 13% covers more than taxes.
