Did you ask for my fixed cost or did you start scoffing?

I have a brand new Cascadia Evolution 2015 and my truck payment is 525... after occ insurance bobtail qualcomm, permits etc. I pay 751.00 a week.

On a six year term that cost 137,500... i plan to avoid paying an extra 20,000 of interest..

We have 11 cents per mile maintenance...fee..

I put almost 30,000 miles on my truck and I got it under 12,000 miles...

By the way if you all are not interested, why be in the way?

If it is kllm then you are paid per mile. .88cpm plus surcharge. There are better leases.

.88 Cents empty... KLLM has.90 for loaded miles not to mention other fleets...

Where they have accounts paying more... and not to mention 72% of the load for Midwest and SouthEast Regional....

Name one company where there is a dollar buyout better than KLLM?

We are talking about a real lease purchase program here not some lame 15.000 to 30.000 dollar buyout after paying expensive weekly payments.....

hey squirt,,you got suckered..KLLM is one of those companies that hires tooo many rookies and has a very large driver turn over rate, 72% of what??
at 88cnts/mile empty and 90cnts/mile loaded you are working for peanuts after you add the 40cnts/mile fuel surcharge.. there are many companies paying over $1.10/mile plus FS..And what is this qualcom charge?? you have to pay them to sent you messages? No way..hope you like holding on to your steering wheel..trying to recruit others so you can get a referral bonus,,dumb dumb and dumb..bet you love Obama tooo

Happy your happy. Things you should know.
    1. Your company gets large fuel discounts while barely passing that savings onto you. They make money off every gallon of fuel you dump into that truck.

    2. KLLM did not pay $137000 for your truck. KLLM paid $102834.49 for that truck.

    3. You may have met some drivers that paid off their truck. I have met some too. I have also met many drivers that were less than a year away when freight slowed down, had a breakdown and went into the hole and kllm canceled the contracts and took the truck back before the drivers could secure financing on the amount owed.

    4. .88cpm is low. Very very low. Your truck payments are average to high average. Your insurance costs are high.

    5. KLLM gives big brother a whole new meaning. Your speed is tracked. Go speak to the director of training. He manages the speed report. Go 45 in a 40 it will ding you. 60 in a 55 it will ding you. I have seen the program and the report. Each truck is tracked, normal, put they layer the tracking with speed and they layer the speed with known speed limits.
Hard brake is tracked which is normal. What's not normal is when it's reported they pull google maps and look at the location of the hard brake. If it's near a stop light or sign you are dinged. Too many dings and you move up in safety. Safety rating gets too high and your lease gets cancelled.

I was a trainer and a L/O there. I saw so many of the back office stuff. I left because I was tired of reefer. Tired of KLLM crap. When I say there are better leases I speak from experience.

yeah the definition of "walk away lease" means many walk away and they can sucker an other rookie they hire into making the companies truck payments,,there are a lot of companies that make more off leasing the trucks than hauling the freight..My suggestion if an only if you have a degree in business and have been driving over the road for 5 years or more don't do a lease purchase. You will be locked into 5 years or more to own the truck if it was new and if you lease a used truck you will have a difficult time making it because of the very high maintenance cost . You see the average truck will need 10cnts/mile minimum put away in your maintenance fund from day one on a new truck..buy the time a truck has 400,000 miles or more you fund should have a balance of $4,000 or more so by the time the truck has 700,000 miles you will have money put away for an overhaul or major repair.
Oh yeah,,trucks go over a million miles before it will need an overhaul...less than 10% make it that far,, I have had CAT engines that did not make it to 300,000 and Cummins that needed an overhaul at about 700,000.. You always hear about the mythical truck that went a million miles but seldom does any one admit the engine failed at 510,000 miles .

I don't think 5 years is necessary. Long enough to know you want to remain in this industry for the foreseeable future, which does include a winter, and you should be ok. You do not have to be a great driver to be a successful business owner.

I understand but I dont care what they paid... and once again I dont get .88 cents... and even when I did empty.90 loaded I was netting on average 1,500 to 1,800 weekly... with 34 hour restarts.

People have to do whats best for them. I have never heard of any better 1 buyout lease...

I have been blessed by every company I have worked for in the commercial transpo industry.

And KLLM is by far the best...

I am not angry with negative people I actually feel sorry for them.
