.88 cents a miles was that?
that rate is only good if you had no truck and fuel payment. -
[.88 cents a miles was that?
that rate is only good if you had no truck and fuel payment.[/QUOTE]
But at .88 cents per mile (empty), which makes every quote on this thread saying KLLM only pays .88 cents or using words that attempt to persuade the readers that KLLM *only pays .88 cents per mile to lease operators is more than less of a half truth.
88 cents per mile is on empty miles i.e. deadhead miles and that is only exclusive to *some fleets.
There are accounts where OTR lease operators are getting paid .90 cents per mile and upward on empty miles and loaded miles. (Fact)
Now, your comment that 88.cents a mile is only good if you had no truck or fuel payment, is your opinion.
Because when I was getting .88 cents per mile empty and 90.cents per mile loaded (plus fuel surcharge) I was easily bringing in 1,600 a week here, and 1,300 there, and 1,700 there... 2,100 here, 2,200 there, and excuse me, that is *after my truck payment and the cost of fuel.
As a lease operator OTR I only had 2 or 3 settlements under 1,000, and each time it was *my fault for not walking in what I know is right, like faith, and staying focused on my own fleet vs. salivating for 72% of the load (though I was making really good money as an OTR driver).
Anyhow... in one case I had the choice to get to shipper a day or slightly more early. But the shipper said there was a maybe that I would be loaded early....so instead of calling back or asking the right questions to the shipper or trying to get another opinion etc. from the same company, I decided to play it safe, and it cost me.
When I got to the shipper and actually mingled with the guys loading etc. and not someone behind the desk who only superficially has the say so, the loading guys said if we have the freight we will load you.
And that's what I mean by faith, because I knew I should have went instead of doubting....Last edited: Sep 4, 2014

What I don't understand is why someone who is not even a trucker, or someone who is not interested in finding a lease program that fits a drivers specific need, why are you even commenting on this thread?
The tone of my post was precisely geared toward people who desires to find a lease purchase program that works. Which requires a driver to spend time *researching.
It's not always going to be a quick overnight search, sometimes it takes time to find the right program, and in other cases it takes listening and actually shutting your ears to all the negative people (at least in your search for the right program, and then you consider the things that can stop your success, because those are the variables that one must consider).
If anyone is serious enough about researching the things I have posted precisely about trucking, you will see that in 2012 I was looking for the best lease purchase program and I didn't consider KLLM, because I totally overlooked the signs and info that had come to me earlier that year.
I'll say this much....
While driving for two other companies as a company driver I heard from lease operators about KLLM. Those were the signs I was getting from my HEAVENLY FATHER, I just wasn't quiet enough to hear.
KLLM is a great company. Re-read my initial post and see from the get-go I posted with the intentions of revealing my company to the people who interacted with me.
I didn't simply holdback the information because I was trying to get driver referrals, but because I was trying to weed out drivers or non-drivers who are just trying to hinder someone like myself and others who are on the move in their career. So I figured serious drivers would be willing to talk about this.
My initial understanding about drivers and non-drivers on this website was true, because proof on this thread, there are non-drivers and people who are not even concerned with actually finding a lease program that works for them (some of them are commenting but why?)
So is it that they really care about drivers who desire to lease(?) or did they have a sour experience with leasing(?) what is it?
What is it that forces someone else who could really care less about someone else's failure (though they are absolutely concerned with hindering *ones success, proof is people attacking my post, instantly knocking my post as "shady" "meaningless" etc. though *some were not asking questions as if they wanted to really know.Last edited: Sep 4, 2014

If you had out all the specifics in print, in the right forum, in the beginning, we all would have benefited from the start.
