All i can tell you don't even think about it. I'm on the program they lie too much don't get me wrong you'll be choosing your own load but most of the time if you book the good load it will be canceled specially if you don't work around east coast. They will show you some good load coming out east coast and after you book the 2 load one going to east and the other one the one coming out east after you book and start driving they will tell you the costumer cancel the load and you'll be stuck with some stupid load the one with no money on it. This is the trick they are using to make a driver to pull cheap load. And the main thing also if you take 2 days off you'll be doomed you don't make any money with a new truck they will tell you the payment is $735.00 but that's a lie after you signed every #### paper at the end of the week all you know they will charge you $1,300.00 too much accessories. So if you're looking real advice i will tell you don't do it. Some times it's better to be a company driver just try to save some money and get your truck from the dealer. Good luck

or you can go and look in the Schneider forum area and look in there. I have been all over these forums and there are ups and downs with their program. Great source of information.

Getting a truck from a dealer is not going to make you a great or even good business person overnight, because being a good business person is what it takes to be a profitable O/O or lease operator. Bashing SNI simply because you failed to learn how to use the freight board does no one any good, especially the OP.

SNI does not operate in the manner you described above regarding load cancellations. If a load cancels, it is either customer initiated or resulted from an internal error like double booking. I have been on choice since year one and it takes a little time to learn how to get the most out of it, especially if you have never self-dispatch before. Some figure it out on their own, others by asking other ICC drivers for some tips and some never figure it out because they haven't decided what they really want to accomplish. In the latter case, those drivers have first failed in drawing up a business plan and knowing how much it cost to turn the wheels of their truck. Without doing and know that, you will go broke no matter how much revenue per mile you are getting. It's that simple.

Agreed with the above. I'm on the Choice program and it's simply one of the better lease deals out there. I take 4-5 days off at a time and usually have 3-4k already booked to the truck BEFORE I even start my time at home. You have to plan ahead. If you operate in a lane where cancelations are high then go elsewhere. It really is that simple. As stated go to the Schneider forum, lots of satisfied customers there. Feel free to pm with any any questions. ..

From someone who doesn't know anything about it.

Loads cancel from time to time as was posted above..I've only had a handful since starting.
What NO other companies cancel loads?!

As for how the lease program works there it's a lot different than other companies..YOU decide where, when and how much you run for.
Not some dispatcher who you have to jump through hoops for.

I've been on Choice since May of this year..I have no trouble making my payments, getting home and making good money.
It all falls to the person leasing..if you don't have the discipline to manage your time and money you wont make it anywhere as a O/O.
Too many people get in this business and rush into a lease or buying their own truck.
Learn all you can then research it some more..save some money then take the plunge.

I've been driving for 20 years and I'm still learning..I have no illusions that I know it all.

As it should be. My drummer hero, Buddy Rich, started at age 3, and had more raw talent than any drummer I've known of. But even with his age, experience, and fame, he practiced 4 hours a day, every day, and spent 2 hours practicing karate, in which he held an advanced degree black belt. But he still practiced.

It's called honing your skill. One must always be a student to progress and improve.
