LOL not all of us Lease Haters are bad.... Listen if your going to try the lease deal with a company read all of the fine print and I mean all of it!!!!
make darn sure you have a good back up plan and some reserve money to back up what ever happens out there on the road and trust me it will happen weather its a tire or a turbo @%IT hits the fan at some point... Look to see if its a percentage or milage pay or both and make sure your getting 100% of the fuel surcharge no matter how much or how little it is.. Look for things that just don't add up and never take a load that pays 90 cents you will make as much with all the little hidden fees and charges as a company driver makes. If you go the O/O way check the truck facts on the truck you want to buy... Was it a heavy haul truck... Was it a company truck that students used.. Wrecked or the milage does not match up with the ecm. Get yourself a good commercial trucking accountant who knows the ins and outs of trucking... Seriously sit down and do the math and think before you hit the road... Do you want to chicken haul, tanker, parking lots, dry freight or household... And remember you have to pay your own insurance both for your truck and load and your own workers comp... Good Luck. RW -
Well said. You may need more reserve cash for insurance alone if you run your own authority. Get all the records on the truck you want find out as much as possible about the history.

Really even with an older Truck

Tell them to guarantee in the contract a settlement amount. None would do that. -

I don't want to sound like a " lease hater" ....so i will say " go for it " but do yourself a favor and hold off until you get your feet wet as a company driver
for i would say atleast a yr and remember there's probly a good reason why there is such a thing as so called " lease haters" and by saying this i have nothing at all to gain ,all i can say is i know it always looks good on paper and there is a good reason for that also ,the rest is up to you to figure out why someone would approach you with a great deal and most times it is not because they care for your well being or prosperity
