"Are you ready to rule the road in a 2015 International Lonestar? Our drivers asked, and we answered. Celadon is now the only major fleet offering our Lease Purchase Drivers the opportunity to lease a 2015 International LoneStar. Call us today at (800) 820-2621 to reserve you new truck!"

Isn't the truck expense around $.90-1.00/mile? So in this case there's a potential to make 29-39cpm? Sounds like a great deal. :biggrin_25511:

Lone mountain. Much better and they have lonestars. Personally I don't care for them too much, they look like a space ship. Give me a 680, or a old school 379 or 900 and I'll be happy.
i have a savings account for lone mountain, I plan to have 23,500 saved by next year at this time and I'll be buying my own truck & trailer.. Or buy my own truck and lease on to my company I've been with since they have been very good to me.

    Spaceships are awesome. :yes2557:

I'll have mine with some ELO, please.

I think a Lonestar would look awesome coated in that color-changing paint.

I wonder how they do in snow. I drove a single screw Prostar for a week last winter while my regular truck was in the shop. It did not like snow. AT. ALL. I'm not sure I would ever drive one again.

Your statement is asinine. Not everyone has bad credit because they can't manage money, what if they went through a bad divorce, or maybe they were laid off or had medical problems, or maybe they are working on cleaning up their credit, that doesn't happen overnight. Most people that fail at leases fail because they don't have business acumen, if you are in a .94 cpm lease, you are basically living off the fuel surcharge. It costs me .94 cpm in my lease all in (Truck&Trailer payment, insurance, fuel etc etc) but my average rate is 1.62 per mile to the truck, that leaves me with .70 cpm going home KNOW YOUR NUMBERS FOLKS or you will fail!

I agree...I just went thru a very expensive and nasty divorce causing my good credit to fall down...but picking up the pieces. ...but yeah..you're right on with your statement.

Thank you. I fall into the laid off category. I lost everything and my credit tanked. A l/p is about the only option I have if I want my own truck. It talked to a recruiter at Celadon today and am considering it. They have 3 pay options, .94 per mile, 70% or a sliding scale. Haven't had a chance to really go over it yet so I'm not sure which would be the best. I have always liked the Lonestar but really didn't think there was any chance I could ever get one.

LP is a medicine show scam. Wanna play pretend owner operator.....be by guest.

Unless you have a title (even with a lien holder) you have full rights to the truck and can lease where you please and do what you want. I don't care what LP you sign with a carrier.....the truck is not yours...and they can swipe it back any time they please. You are doing nothing more than paying their bills for them. Don't be a sucker.
