From what I understand it's an Owner operator/lease operator division, new mind you, but none the less it's Celadon light I would guess..... Would be interested in hearing if anyone does give it a go or not and how it works out.

Did they have any gently used trucks available or do they pretty much force you to take a new truck? What did you end up getting for a 7 year lease? Do you have access to a load board or you are dispatched by a driver manager? Is the 75% of the load a true 75% meaning do they show or tell you what the load REALLY pays before they take their cut? How much are your trailer payments? And your other weekly deductions not including fuel? If you choose to run reefer are you reimbursed for the reefer fuel? Is the freight high dollar freight or is it whatever they can get freight? How long was orientation and what was the accommodations like? Did the orientation run smooth or was it mass confusion? Do they treat you likes glorified company driver or a business owner? If you or anyone could answer these questions it would be great and would help out with a decision.

    thanks

Well, I started dec 15th. It was supposed to be a two and half day orientation, at Celedon headquarters, but alas turned into 8 days. The lab didn't sign the chain of custody paperwork for my drug test, and rather than take a new one, they had me wait. what pissed me off the most was no apology from the lab, for screwing up. Alot of passing the buck, though. The trucks, crap. They give you a list of trucks, most don't start, all have body damage, except the new ones, and they only have one new truck to choose from, Kenworth t680, 450 cummins, 13 speed, no power, poor fuel mileage. No new trailers, old, out of service trailers, after all is said and done, you'll pay $37k for. The pay is what it is, 75%, unless you leave the eastern time zone, then, for some reason, the computers will always show you arriving late, and pay 65%. Your driver Manager, also a Celedon Employee, has to manually adjust your arrival time to fix the glitch. Back to the pay. Alot of drivers have been screwed on their pay, mine has been short every week, but some guys just haven't been paid at all. These are all brokered loads, so the rates are not that good, believe it or not, the mileage people from Celedon are making alot more money, than we are, at least me. Maybe it's me, but, I've made more money as a company driver. I will not be here long. Hope it helps. Good luck.

75% of gross revenue goes to the truck.
If your late to your appt you only get 65% of revenue to the the truck.

Sounds like a game to me
