I just can't add the numbers to come out with $100K net. Even running 12k miles/month all year. Nothing personal. If renting a truck was that profitable, a lot of drivers would be all over it. Besides, it just stands to reason somebody would have said something. Why are there so many negative posts/stories, you ask? All true and not all those drivers were lazy or stupid. Where there's smoke......

What are the actual numbers you are running? I never ran 12k miles per month. More like 9k.

As as to your other ideas, the company I pull for has around 1000 lease/rental drivers. So... Yeah there are other drivers doing it.

"It stands to reason someone would have said something". Someone did. You replied to his post.

Lots of people fail many things. There are guys you could give a brand new paid off truck and 100k in capital and they would run that business into the ground in a year.

Just look at the bad company forum. So many of those same companies have great reviews from other drivers. Not everyone can make a situation work for them. At the same time you need to recognize the fact not all leases are the same, and not all leases are bad.

    Yes, I lease.

Wat company's do u think has a good lease program with 0 down need to make some good money

What are your goals? Just make money, and don't care about owning the truck, or do you want to pay off the truck?

What kind of freight do you want to run?

What areas do you like running?

    Home time requirements?

    Whats your MVR/PSP/CSA/DAC look like?

Do you have a TWIC and passport? Are you able to get them?

    Need more info.

What do you mean by school?

Some of these lease things. First of running the numbers you can't do it for less then two dollars per mile. Most break even price is 1.19 per mile that covers all cost and the driver takes home butkis.
So after watching some you tube videos and lease purchase drivers going over their quarters most net i have seen is 47 thousand after grossing 110000. Basically company drivers wages. Now if i am wrong
Please let me know and show me the evidence of my error.

Jamaicanexpress you can just post on the board. You don't have to PM me. You will get more responses if you post here.

To answer your question, I don't know. The only reefer company I pulled for and leased with was bought by another company. I run open deck freight.

Also, with your limitations on freight lanes you are limiting your income options. You may want to run a dedicated regional as a company driver. I hear they can make very good money.

$47000 net per quarter is very very good. That's $188,000 per year.

You take the quarterlies and add them up. You get about 47k for the net earnings for the whole year. A driver grossed 15,000 for one month yet netted only 3 thousand. His quarterlies were 10,000 per quarter so about 40k company drivers wages. If you care to show your quarterly gross and net earnings. And what the end residuals are at the end of the lease. I am all ears. Till then a sceptic i will be.
