The only way a lease would work is if you went to a source outside the trucking industry for the money. Any time you are stuck with a company, you are just a company driver making more money for the company and less for yourself.

One of things I find funny about most lease plan through a company, is that they target people with bad credit. For the most part id you have good credit and a well thought out business plan you can get a loan from your local bank and own the truck.

o.o.i.d.a. can't help you if you are stupid. nobody can. if you don't take the time to listen and learn before you do something, you get what you deserve.

"moron" on a job resume may not help much, but it beats lieing. at least the hiring manager iknows what he's getting up front instead of finding out the hard way.

READ all the Document, You can get burned BAD by company Lease programs, and others you can make money on, I did with R&R out of Audobon MN. Made killer money, had a brand new truck and They made minimal money on the lease deal, I paid 125.00 more per month than they did, they truly want he Driver to make it,

I've only been out here solo for a month now being paid at their rookie rate. in just 5 more months I will be eligible to lease a brand new truck and get paid $.90 a mile. Sounds so good, but I do understand that is a recipe for barely keeping your nose above the water.

I got to tell you that I am very interested in this program but I would probably hire a guy to team up with me to keep that vehicle as productive as possible.

You'll lose interest fast when you look at the employment taxes you'll have to pay on top of paying this driver. If he's happy working for peanuts you're in business but most people aren't. I'm debt free leased to a company with a paid for truck and scrape by. You see all of these stories about lease purchase failures and still you are lured into the scam? All it takes is one mythmaker like Doc to make a post and the next thing you know there's a hundred drivers out there like you that'll say to themselves yeah! i can do it, by sheer will or whatever.. incredible..

:smt024 New to this but know I will not sign as too much to learn. But one comment is true, some people just want to survive.
**Seems almost not ethical that major companies are doing this but see it already. I love the USA but then question what is right is not always legal and vice versus. Unfortunate and almost like the default mortgages that should not have been allowed.
    Thanks for the input

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN....... The reason truckings company's lease truck to drivers young and old 1) is to pass the first line liability to you.2)is to pass tax libility to you.3)I don't have the numbers but if 10% of the trucks leased. Are ever are owend by the driver.
